Designed for children as young as three and extending through adolescence and beyond, Children’s Art Classes offers a structured, studio-based art education that unfolds over years, allowing students to grow steadily while forming a lasting relationship with art. Our award-winning curriculum covers more than 40 art techniques and mediums, including ceramics, tempera and acrylic painting, ebony pencil, charcoal, India ink, scratchboard, fiber arts, pottery making, sculpture, stippling, pastels, collage, linocut & gelli printmaking, watercolor, mixed media and so much more.

In Cary, we’re inspiring creativity and confidence in kids through fun, hands-on art classes, camps, and workshops. Our programs teach drawing, painting, sculpture, and more while helping children explore their imagination and build lifelong skills in a supportive, local studio.

Summer Art Camps

Every summer we run weekly art camps from June through August. Each week has its own themes and projects, so campers can join for one week or come back all summer without repeating anything. Sign up for mornings, afternoons, or a full day, and all art materials are included.

Fenton Art Festival

We sponsored the Kids Backyard Art Party at the first Fenton Art Festival last year, and we are returning to the same spot for the second. We will be printmaking with festival goers all day. Gelli printing and foam block printing, free, no registration, and every child goes home with something they made. Our teachers will be there to answer questions about classes, camps, birthday parties and workshops.

Two things to do at our table:

Homeschool Art

Professional art instruction during the school day. Homeschooled students ages 5 and up work through our structured curriculum in a small class of no more than ten, with every material provided. Two times to choose from, so it fits around the rest of your week.

Art 1 for Adults

The same Art 1 curriculum we teach our older students, now for grown-ups. Work in ebony pencil, charcoal, scratchboard, India ink, and acrylic painting, one morning a week from September through May. Taught by professional art educators, with all materials provided. No experience needed.
