Paige Cragg

Paige Cragg is a passionate and experienced art educator with a deep commitment to nurturing creativity in young learners. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BFA in Art Education, Paige has spent over a decade teaching and inspiring students in the Durham and Chapel Hill area.

Paige’s teaching career includes roles with Durham Public Schools and the Young Rembrandts program, where she delivered engaging art instruction in both traditional school settings and after-school environments.

Beyond the classroom, Paige brings a rich background of service and leadership to her work. She has volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for over 15 years, served on church education boards, and supported school arts programs as a parent and community leader. With a warm, creative spirit and a dedication to lifelong learning, Paige strives to create a welcoming space where every student can grow as an artist and an individual.

Prathyaksha Krishna Prasad Photo

Prathyaksha Krishna Prasad

Prathya is an Urban Conservation Architect, artist, and educator passionate about art, history, and cultural heritage. Born and raised in India, her lifelong fascination with ancient civilizations and their artistic achievements has shaped her journey, blending creativity with heritage conservation.

Prathyaksha’s work explores how art can illuminate history, raise awareness about cultural preservation, and transform spaces. Her travels and studies of global traditions inspire her vibrant and intricate compositions, which often incorporate patterns, bold colors, and pen-and-ink details. While skilled in various media, she prefers watercolors, layering them with textures and acrylic embellishments. Her exploration of traditional Indian art forms deepens her connection to cultural heritage and informs her artistic practice.

As an art educator, Prathyaksha is dedicated to inspiring young minds to appreciate and preserve the world’s artistic and cultural legacy. Through her art and teaching, she fosters a deeper understanding of how heritage connects us all.

Krysta Black-Mazumdar Photo

Krysta Black-Mazumdar

Krysta Black-Mazumdar is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received her PhD in Art History. She has taught art history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University and has worked as an educator and researcher at the National Gallery of Art and the Ackland Art Museum. Before opening Children’s Art Classes in Cary, she also enjoyed many years of helping researchers as customer experience specialist for an academic author services company.

Krysta enjoys doing a variety of art projects with her son and facilitating his creativity in any way she can. She looks forward to sharing that creative spark with the community and hopes to see your family at the studio soon!

Arup Mazumdar Photo

Arup Mazumdar

Arup moved to North Carolina from Mumbai, India, to pursue a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering at North Carolina State University. He is now a VP of Engineering at a globally recognized company. His interests include soccer and cricket, and he enjoys playing with his son, Rohan. He looks forward to meeting your family at the studio soon.
